Our Story & How We Research
PetWellness AI was built by a pet owner, for pet owners: clear, natural-first answers, checked against veterinary research, and honest about when it's time to see the vet.
Why PetWellness AI Exists
PetWellness AI was started by a lifelong animal lover and dog owner who got tired of conflicting, confusing pet health advice. When our own dogs needed real answers, one recovering from bladder stone surgery and needing a carefully managed diet, the other working through a vet-guided weight-loss plan, we went searching. What we found was either too technical to use or too vague to trust.
So we started doing the research ourselves: reading veterinary studies, comparing natural and conventional approaches, testing practical changes at home with our own dogs, and keeping what actually helped.
The Founder
Pet Owner & Holistic Pet Health Researcher
A lifelong animal lover and owner of two dogs, a Jack Russell–Pug mix and a Labrador. Years of researching real health problems at home, from post-surgery diet management to healthy weight loss, led to PetWellness AI: a free tool and library of guides to help other pet owners find trustworthy answers faster.
Where Science Meets Natural Care
We believe the best pet care combines the rigor of veterinary research with the gentle, whole-body approach of natural wellness. Good food, the right supplements, a calm environment and early attention to small changes can do a lot, alongside the care of a good vet, never instead of it.
How We Research Every Article
Real Questions
We start with the real questions pet owners ask.
Leading Holistic Resources
We also review the leading holistic and natural pet health resources, such as Dogs Naturally Magazine, Dr. Judy Morgan and Animal Wellness Magazine, so each guide reflects the natural approaches pet owners are reading about, weighed against the veterinary evidence.
Honest About the Evidence
We look at the holistic options and are honest about what the evidence does and doesn't support.
AI-Assisted, Human-Checked
We use AI tools to help research and draft, and every article is checked and edited before it's published.
Safety First
Emergency signs are always flagged, and dog and cat advice is kept separate, because what's safe for one can be dangerous for the other.
Honest About Who We Are
We are not veterinarians and don't hold formal veterinary qualifications. We're dedicated researchers and pet owners who have been through the worry of a sick pet ourselves. Our guides help you understand what's happening and what to ask, but your vet should always make the diagnosis and treatment decisions.
